Books are like clothes...children outgrow them!

Read, Recycle, Refresh...Your Library is a program specifically designed for growing readers!  Angie's Book Nook has teamed up with Bernie's Book Bank to provide a program to help families replace old, outgrown books with new Usborne titles!

How it Works:

Angie's Book Nook will set up books at your location, much like a Book Fair.  Patrons bring thier gently-used children's books to trade in.  Bernie's Book Bank collects the books for redistribution to children who desperately need books.  The patron receives a discount on new Usborne Books based on the number of books traded in!

1 - 15 books = 10% off

16 - 24 books = 15% off

25 - 39 books = 20% off

40 or more books = 25% off!!

The Mission of Bernie's Book Bank is "to collect and distribute any and all un-utilized children's books to those in need throughout Chicagoland and beyond!"  Their objective is "to continuously pour quality children's books into 'at-risk' homes and neighborhoods, increasing book OWNERSHIP.  By doing so, economically disadvantaged children will be exposed to books from birth!"  They support "the fragile fledgling love for reading of school-age children with quality book ownership at home!"
